Christian Delécluse

Artist and teacher/researcher in digital architecture and art

Biography

Christian Delécluse sees artistic creation as a praxis, a particular attention to the world that unfolds outside the dualism of the faculties, combining sensitivity and reason. It’s a way of being «simultaneously more animal and more reasoning, more sensitive and more thinking» (Morizot).

Interested in the process of co-evolution between the human species and the technical tools it invents, the artist imagines «sensitive machines»: machines that return the spectator to his own subjectivity. Mirrors of our own sensibility, these machines play a part, not without humour or magic, in raising awareness and transforming our representations of the world.
