Founder


Mikaël Frascadore boasts over 25 years of experience in the event and cultural industry, with an exceptional background in creation, production and logistics. He has managed hundreds of local and international projects annually, ranging from concerts to corporate events, special projects installed in the public space and digital arts creations. Mikael has overseen venues accommodating up to 100,000 attendees and managed multiple indoor and outdoor sites simultaneously. His expertise includes serving as Vice President -Event Operations & Production of C2 International, Vice President – Production of Équipe Spectra (CH Group: Evenko-Live Nation, Montreal Internatinal Jazz Festival, …), Director of Production services for Lune Rouge Entertainment (A company of Guy Laliberté, founder of Cirque du Soleil), Executive Director of Production and Business Development at Montréal en Histoires & H2Emotions and founder of Illuminart.

As co-founder of ILO, International Light Festivals Organisation, Mikael has driven the light festival and public light events sector forward. He has developed an extensive network of production partners worldwide and has experience in production of projects in Europe, the Middle-East, the United States and in Asia.

Mikaël has been producing, promoting and programming digital and hybrid art projects for the past ten years, and is the founder, producer and curator of Illuminart (2015 to 2019), a circuit of artworks installed in the public space, such as video projections and interactive projects, combining light art and technology, deployed in downtown Montreal. Illuminart, presented by Montreal En Lumière, brought together projects by artists, students, citizens, creators, engineers, scenographers, graphic designers and video artists from near and far.

He recently produced and co-programmed the Village Numérique by MUTEK and XN Québec, an event dedicated to the democratization and promotion of digital arts and new medias. The event is a showcase for artists and studios and offers mediation activities, workshops, an international professional component, and includes a free exhibition of 23 original digital art installations, installed in the public space and different indoor venues.
